Seminar #4

There are some things
you might need
for a reason
or another

things you might rarely use
things you might need spares of
things that might cost £40
things that might cost 69p

     bonsai scissors
     leather gloves
     teeny tiny cages
     spare space
     bits of slate
     ephemera of foam
     a smoker a suit
a cheap pair of reading glasses

Seminar #3

It’s really quite sad when you have to lose all your bees

To starvation
To disease
To mysterious circumstances
To your enemies
the mice the wasps the woodpeckers
          some cows some stupid humans
the moths of this and the moths of that the moths of everything
          mites woodlice mould mites

Don’t count your honey before it’s capped

Seminar #2

Tangible, a visceral response
40 to 60lbs of honey per year
Or a layer of dead bees on the floor

When you need to do something then you should
make a strategy first and think it through and
if it seems sensible it probably is right, right

Seminar #1

On the whiteboard
Dramatic irony / Tragedy / Death / Fate
Act 3 Scene 1, The outline of a man, like a crime scene

“What a bee is a bee is not a wasp”
“The bees are always capable of a surprise” (and, a little
sadly) “The bees cannot read about us, the way we can read about them”

sometime around the middle of August we finally took the down the tree
and we had to pay for all the presents and late nights
and we were with hangovers for several days
as the sun beat down too hot but it was also raining at the same time
and we were each other both sick and too close
